Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Rally Tennis is a mobile application that helps tennis players find partners, organise singles and doubles matches, discover courts, and track their games. This policy applies to the Rally iOS app and this website. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@rallytennis.io.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details. When you sign up — including via Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In — we receive your name and email address (or the private relay address you choose with Apple). We use this to create and secure your account.
- Profile information. Details you add to your player profile, such as your skill level, playing style, availability, and a profile photo.
- Content you create. Rallies you set up, invitations, messages you send to other players, match results and scores you log.
Information collected with your permission on your device
The app asks for these permissions only when a feature needs them. You can decline any of them, and you can change your mind later in your device Settings — the related feature simply won't work until you grant access.

Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data. Basic technical information such as app version, device type, and general diagnostics that help us keep the app stable and fix crashes.
3. How we use your information
- To create your account and let you sign in securely.
- To match you with players and rallies at your level and near you.
- To set up matches, deliver invitations and messages, and keep everyone's plan in sync.
- To send you reminders and updates about your games (where you've allowed notifications).
- To maintain your match history and profile stats.
- To keep Rally safe, prevent abuse, and comply with our legal obligations.
4. What other players can see
Rally is a social app, so some information is visible to other users by design. This includes your profile (name, photo, skill level, playing style, badges, stats and show-up rate), rallies you host or join, and messages you send within a match thread. Please share only what you're comfortable other players seeing. Your email address, contacts, and precise device location are not shown on your public profile.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited cases:
- With other users, as described above, to make the app work.
- With service providers who run infrastructure on our behalf — for example our backend and authentication provider (Supabase), and Apple and Google for sign-in and push notifications. These providers process data only to provide their service to us.
- For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and property of Rally, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, in which case we'll notify you.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain something to comply with the law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
7. Your rights and choices
- Access & correction. You can view and edit your profile information in the app at any time.
- Deletion. You can delete your account from within the app, or by emailing hello@rallytennis.io. This removes your personal data as described above.
- Permissions. You can turn location, contacts, photos, calendar and notifications on or off at any time in your device Settings.
- Regional rights. Depending on where you live (for example the UK/EEA under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have additional rights such as data portability or the right to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise them.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit and secure, access-controlled storage — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
9. Children
Rally is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.
10. International users
Rally may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy and applicable law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
