Is Rally free?+
Yes — Rally is free at launch. Download it, build your profile, and start organising matches at no cost. If we ever add paid extras, the core of Rally — finding players and getting games on the calendar — stays free.
When does it launch, and on what?+
Rally is launching soon on iPhone via the App Store. Android is on the roadmap — if you're on Android, email hello@rallytennis.io and we'll let you know the moment it's ready.
Do I need an existing group to use it?+
No. Rally works both ways: bring your regulars and let the app do the organising, or arrive solo and discover players near you at your level. Open rallies let you join games that need one more — which is exactly how you become someone's regular.
How does level matching actually work?+
Every player has a Rally Level (think 2.75 "Improver" or 4.0) that starts from your self-assessment and then earns its accuracy — it climbs as you win rated matches. Combined with your playing style and availability, it means the app puts you on court with people who'll give you a proper game, not a walkover either way.
What happens when someone doesn't reply?+
That's Rally's favourite job. The app nudges the silent, reminds the maybes and re-confirms everyone as game day approaches — you can watch "waiting on Harry" turn into "Harry's in" without sending a single message. If someone drops out, Rally helps you fill the slot instead of letting the plan collapse.
Is it safe to play with people I haven't met?+
Rally profiles do the vetting a group chat can't: a real rating, playing history and a show-up rate earned over actual matches. Games happen at public courts and clubs, and you always see exactly who's in before you confirm. Play with your regulars only, strangers only, or any mix you like.
Does Rally book the court for me?+
Rally finds courts near you, tracks whether a court is booked, and pins who's booking it to the plan so it never falls through the cracks. Booking happens with your venue as usual — then one tap marks it done and everyone sees time, place and court number.
What does it need access to on my phone?+
Only what powers a feature, only if you say yes: location to find courts and players nearby, calendar to drop matches in automatically, notifications for reminders, contacts to find friends already on Rally. Everything is optional and explained in our Privacy Policy.
